Color Challenge Reveal

March's Color Challenge was inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's 'The Sower and the Setting Sun'.

I made an embellished 'plum blossom' pattern beaded bead with some of my newly-acquired 'tanzanite' shade crystals, frosted silver-lined orange, lavender-lined AB, silver-lined topaz, and opaque goldenrod seed beads.

It's still tricky for me to combine anything like purple and orange, but it helped that I used several finishes, picked only one saturated color grouping (the golden/orange one) and these oranges bordered on yellow anyway. Yellow is easier to pair with purple.
The painting has such variety of colors, and it's very gratifying to capture some of that in a single bead.
This and my other handmade beaded beads are available in my supply shop, ParadoxMoxie.

Awesome job! I love how all the colors merge and swirl around each other in the bead, just like they do in the painting.
